Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systemic Family Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
(Pronouns are she/her) I identify as a West Coaster. I have had the opportunity to live in CA, OR and WA. Although I have had the privilege to travel around the world, it is always nice to see the Pacific Ocean. I love to travel and make an effort to travel to a new country every year. I enjoy trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and families and trying to see all the beautiful nature available in the Northwest.
I chose to become a marriage and family therapist because I wanted family members to find ways to connect with each other more positively and to gain skills to weather the difficult times. My goal is for my clients to feel heard and validated, as I view therapy as a collaborative effort, where I share my expertise to help clients gain more control of their own lives. I enjoy working with the entire life developmental stages from: child, adolescence and adults. What I especially enjoy about my role as a provider is that I learn equally as much from my clients.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist- License Number #LF60776695. I graduated from Antioch University Seattle with a M.A. in psychology in couple and family therapy. I have experience working in the schools and in the community health setting. This has allowed me to build partnerships through out various disciplines. Additionally, I am certified as as Child Mental Health Specialist and Ethnic Minority Mental Health Specialist (Latino families) via the state of Washington.
I enjoy helping my clients to understand relational changes, how to manage depression and anxiety symptoms, how to increase and expand support networks, how to help children and adults transition between developmental life stages and understand what helps each of them create change they desire.
I have a very direct approach and often incorporate humor into my sessions.
$160 individuals therapy (kids, adolescents, adults)
$200 family therapy
$200 couples therapy
$120 for clinical supervision and/or consultation
I do not accept insurance at this time. Many insurance companies give out-of-network reimbursements for mental health services. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to understand what reimbursement options may be available. I am happy to provide you a monthly superbill (itemized receipt of services) as needed.
